NAMIC Testifies on Post-Catastrophe Claims Issues

Participating in a Dec. 2 public hearing of the NAIC’s Property and Casualty (C) Committee on the subject of catastrophe claims issues, NAMIC cited evidence demonstrating insurers’ high level of performance in processing and paying property claims following a catastrophe and raised concerns regarding various aspects of state government actions following recent disasters including data calls and declarations regarding the applicability of deductibles.
