The Ohio Senate unanimously adopted HB 122 (http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/bills.cfm?ID=129_HB_122) last week and sent the bill to the governor for signature, according to the Ohio Insurance Institute, NAMIC’s state advocacy partner. The measure would exempt state surplus lines insurance from regulation in Ohio when Ohio is not the home state of the insured and makes other changes to the law regulating surplus lines insurance.
