New CFPB Director Cordray Testifies Before Senate
Richard Cordray, director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, testified this morning before the Senate Banking Committee. The hearing, titled “Holding the CFPB Accountable: Review of the First Semi-Annual Report,” provided the Senate with the opportunity to ask questions of Cordray regarding the early actions taken by the bureau as it has been stood-up over the last year.
