Natural Disaster Issues the Focus of the House Financial Services Committee This Week
While the Senate shifts to financial services regulatory reform this week, the House Financial Services Committee will begin consideration of proposals to address a variety of natural disaster issues. As recent Congressional Contact Program participants can attest, the desire to find a solution to natural disaster issues exists, but some of the proposals that will be considered at the committee level this week are not the best steps moving forward.
