Missouri Supreme Court Rules 2005 Tort Reform Law Requires Consideration of Billed Charge Evidence When Provider Accepts Lesser Payment

NAMIC’s state trade association partner, the Missouri Insurance Coalition, reports that the Missouri Supreme Court ruled in the case of Deck v. Teasley SC 90628 (2010) that the trial court in a personal injury lawsuit erred when it limited the evidence of medical damages to proof of the amount that was actually paid to the provider for the services.
