Commission on Deficit Reduction Expected Within Days
President Obama will issue an executive order creating a deficit reduction commission some time this week, press secretary Robert Gibbs said late last week. The commission will reportedly have eighteen members. Six of them will be lawmakers appointed by Democrats in congress, with a corresponding set named by the GOP. The final six will be appointed by the president, with the stipulation that no more than four of them be democrats.
