The harsh winter of 2011 was one we won’t forget anytime soon. As we headed into March, I know we all thought, “Thank goodness … on to warmer, brighter weather.” But as winter melted into spring, the onslaught of ferocious tornadoes – historic in so many ways – and massive flooding was the one-two punch our already-vulnerable psyches and policyholder surplus accounts didn’t need after surviving the previous season.
