Financial Stability Oversight Council Holds Meeting, Releases Study and Recommendations

On January 18, 2011, the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) held its third meeting since being created by the Dodd-Frank financial services reform legislation. FSOC is charged with monitoring potential systemic risk to the economy, make recommendations to federal regulators and participate in the resolution of failing firms.
