The Senate Banking and Insurance Committee will take up the confirmation (B&I mtg 1.23.13 130122_bimtg.pdf) of newly appointed Insurance Director Ray Farmer on Jan. 23. Gov. Nikki Haley appointed Farmer Nov. 13, and he started work Dec. 2.
