Nevada: Legislation to Create Reduced Coverage Limits, Low-Cost Auto Insurance Program Assigned to Assembly Committee
The proposed Low-Cost Automobile Insurance Pilot Plan, AB 299, has been assigned to the Assembly Committee on Commerce and Labor. The bill would impose a 30-cent assessment on all motor vehicle liability policies written in the state to fund the operation of and publicity for the Low-Cost Automobile insurance Pilot Program, and would require the commissioner of insurance to expend department resources setting rates for low-cost auto insurance products, developing and implementing regulations to govern the program, and creating reports evaluating the effectiveness of the program
