Changes in Store for House Financial Services Committee

Following the historic 2010 mid-term elections, Congress returned to Washington on January 5, 2011, to begin the 112th Congress. With the switch from a Democratic majority to a Republican majority in the House, one of the first orders of business was the election of Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio, as the new Speaker of the House who then administered the oath of office to the members of the House, both returning and the large number of newly-elected.
