Senate Regulatory Reform Debate Continues to Develop

Last week, Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, announced that negotiations with his Republican counterpart, Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., on comprehensive financial services regulatory reform legislation had come to a stand-still – calling into question whether this legislation would move at all in the 111th Congress.
