North Carolina: ‘Studies’ Bill Stalled; Tort Reform Passes
HB 773, a bill that creates interim “studies” on a variety of topics including auto and property insurance rates, has stalled in the North Carolina Legislature. “The House and Senate were at odds over what studies should be included,” said Liz Reynolds, NAMIC Southeast state affairs manager, “so the House voted not to concur with the Senate’s committee substitute.”
