Crop Insurance Becomes Target for Cuts by Environmental Group
The latest attack on crop insurance has come from an environmental group that recently waged a successful campaign against direct payments to farmers and is seeking further cuts to farm subsidies. The Environmental Working Group is releasing a multitude of data collected from Freedom of Information requests filed with the Risk Management Agency in order to demonstrate the cost of the subsidies.
