National Flood Insurance Program May See a Longer Extension
Last week the Senate began considering H.R. 4213, the tax extenders package the House recently passed. Among other things, Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., attached an amendment that would extend the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) through December 31, 2010, extending it past its current expiration date of March 31. This will be the longest extension of the program we have seen in quite some time.
