Nevada: Assembly Amends Bill on Proposed ‘Reduced Coverage/ Low-Cost Auto Insurance’ Program

AB 299 is headed for a floor vote by the full State Assembly. NAMIC has been opposing this legislation since the day it was introduced because it will require the use of taxpayer resources to fund a program that is unlikely to have any meaningful impact on the number of uninsured motorists on the roads of Nevada while creating a financial burden for insurers and policyholders, according to Christian J. Rataj, NAMIC’s western state affairs manager.
