Financial Services Regulatory Legislation Nears Passage

Today, in the early morning hours, negotiations on the financial services regulatory overhaul legislation finally came to an end after two weeks of intense discussions in a conference committee between the House and the Senate. This is the culmination of a process that began in September 2008 as the country’s largest financial firms began to fail and Washington sought to deal with the crisis.
