Kagan Nomination Debate to Continue Through July
With more and more agenda items filling a smaller and smaller legislative calendar, it is not yet clear what Congress will be able to get done before the end of the year. One of the highest priorities is the replacement of Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens who retired on June 29. President Obama has nominated Solicitor General Elena Kagan to fill the seat on the bench.
