Senate to Vote on 1099 Repeal

The US Senate is scheduled to vote this afternoon on a repeal of the 1099 reporting requirement that was included in last years’ passed healthcare law. They will consider a Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) amendment to the US House passed repeal- HR 4, followed by HR 4 itself – with both pieces of legislation requiring affirmative 60-vote thresholds. If the Senate passes H.R. 4 without amendment, it will head directly to the President’s desk for signature.
