On Wednesday, March 2, the House Financial Services Committee Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit held a hearing entitled “The Effect of Dodd-Frank on Small Financial Institutions and Small Businesses.” The new Republican majority in the House is looking at ways to overturn many elements of Dodd-Frank. This hearing is one of many aimed at examining the increased regulatory burden on the financial services industry and developing ways to alleviate that strain.
