Colorado: NAMIC Files Written Comments With DOI on Proposed ‘Plain Language’ in Auto Insurance Policies Regulation

NAMIC filed written comments April 11 with the Division of Insurance contesting the division’s regulatory authority to require certain proposed “plain language” policy requirements that exceed the scope of the regulatory powers granted to the DOI pursuant to the enabling legislation, HB 10-166. NAMIC raised concerns with a number of the articulated technical provisions within the proposed regulations.
