Washington, D.C. Budget Bill to Include Sunset Provision for Insurance Premium Tax Increase
NAMIC has been advised by the District of Columbia Insurance Federation that Washington, D.C., Councilmember Muriel Bowser is agreeable to the inclusion of a sunset provision in the budget bill regarding the insurance premium tax increase. NAMIC joined other trade associations in a joint letter May 20 to Councilwoman Bowser urging the council to consider a sunset provision to the imminent tax increase on insurers.
