Utah: Contentious Trial-Lawyer-Supported Bills Signed by Governor
In the last days of March, Gov. Gary R. Herbert signed into law two contentious trial-lawyer-supported bills, SB 62, UM/UIM Bad Faith, and SB 105, Arbitration. Both bills were strongly contested by the industry, but ended up passing out of the Legislature after significant industry requested amendments were made to the legislation.
