Looking Forward: What End of the Year Gridlock Means for 2012

While Congress wraps up a bitter year of legislating, the gridlock that permeated most of 2011 is expected to dissipate somewhat as both parties look toward the elections in November. Neither party wants a repeat of the constant showdowns that marked the first session of the 112th Congress and rattled worldwide economic markets while sending Congress’ approval ratings to historic lows.
