The sparkling waters of Elliott Bay, Lake Union and Lake Washington wrap around this city, where shimmering skyscrapers and forests of evergreens co-exist. Walk through the wondrous Pike Market Place and watch fish mongers toss their catch in the air, take in a Mariners or Seahawks game, or ride the ferry to beautiful Bainbridge Island. Washington State Convention Center
|
All primary convention activities will be held at the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle. This includes all general sessions; educational breakout sessions; Market Place for Mutuals exhibit show; lunches and banquet. Some additional activities will take place at the Sheraton Seattle, such as the Prayer Service and breakfast, Chairman’s reception and several smaller optional food functions.
The Sheraton Seattle and the Grand Hyatt Seattle l are the two official NAMIC housing locations. Both hotels are located in close proximity to the Washington State Convention Center - the Sheraton Seattle is located across the street from the main entrance, and the Grand Hyatt is located just ½ block away.
We have recently discovered that a group claiming to be the “Convention Housing Bureau” (or a similar name) has contacted registered and/or regular attendees of the NAMIC Annual Convention claiming the ability to secure room reservations at the official NAMIC hotels in Seattle in September at a discounted rate. Please be aware that these companies are not authorized to represent NAMIC, and cannot secure rooms within the group room block. Unfortunately, this problem is becoming more prevalent among convention groups and is now commonly known in the field as “poaching” convention attendees. Read More >>
NAMIC arranges to have a block of rooms at negotiated rates for convention attendees and exhibitors to utilize. As a reminder, in order to take advantage of the group room block, you must register with NAMIC for the convention. Upon registering with NAMIC, you will be provided information on how to make room reservations with the hotel in your confirmation e-mail. The room cutoff date is Aug. 23, 2013.
While NAMIC works hard to secure a sufficient number of rooms, we cannot guarantee rooms will be available up to that date. Please reserve your room as early as possible to ensure accommodations.
