The National Flood Insurance Program Expires Again, Action Expected in April
Congress continues to pass only short-term extensions of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) instead of the reforms and long-term reauthorization that are needed in order to avoid long-term solvency risks. The House has passed an extension through April 30, while the Senate failed to get the extension through the upper chamber.
