After One Month Hiatus Congress Finally Passes NFIP Extension
For more than four weeks the National Flood Insurance Program has been on a hiatus because Congress has failed to pass another short-term extension. Finally, late last night, the Senate passed legislation extending the NFIP through September which the House passed last week. It is anticipated that President Obama will sign the bill into law this evening.
