Texas: TDI Comments on TWIA RFP
Insurance Commissioner Eleanor Kitzman said in a news release distributed last week that the present structure of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association is unsustainable, stating that, in her opinion, the growth of TWIA from 17.9 percent to 52.7 percent market share suggests a long-term challenging situation. She stated that while her comment “doesn’t relate to oversight or TWIA’s financial situation,” she wants to explore more options for the association.
