New York: New Consolidated Department of Financial Services Launched
The newly consolidated Department of Financial Services was launched with great fanfare last week, with Superintendent of Financial Services Benjamin M. Lawsky announcing the structure and mission for the agency at a ceremony attended by 19 former Banking and Insurance superintendents, other officials, and hundreds of department staff.
