Continuing Oil Leak in the Gulf Threatens to Alter Legislative Agenda

Already halfway through the month of June, the legislative calendar for the 111th Congress is getting shorter and shorter. With the House and Senate in conference over financial services regulatory reform this week and next week, and the Senate still without agreement on a tax extenders package, consideration of any other major initiatives before the July 4 recess is increasingly unlikely.
