            <description>The Ohio Senate passed Amended Substitute House Bill 278 on Dec. 13 by a 33-0 vote to increase the minimum amount of coverage a vehicle owner must carry to maintain valid proof of financial responsibility; remove the requirement that auto insurance rates be based upon municipal boundaries; and change the non-cancellation period for auto insurance policies from two years to one year.</description>
