            <description>Mississippi’s legislative session is wrapping up, and at least one insurance-related bill has been approved by the governor.  SB 2675 will allow the commissioner of insurance to increase the amount of reward offered in arson cases.  Gov. Phil Bryant signed the bill March 7.</description>

            <description>SB 2489, which would prohibit civil liability against a person or entity for reporting insurance fraud, was referred Feb. 20 to the House Insurance Committee.  NAMIC members are encouraged to contact committee members to ask that they approve the bill before March 5, the deadline for committees to report bills originating in the other house.</description>
